I have compiled the information below to help you understand how working with a VA actually works and of course, more specifically, what you can expect from Bond Executive Support working you as your assistant.
Working with a Virtual Assistant
Working with a Virtual Assistant is like having your own Personal PA, only more flexible. You pay for the hours you need and there are no overheads involved, no sick days, no annual leave to pay for, and no IT equipment or office space to worry about! Completely hassle free.
As a VA, I am more flexible than most office based assistants. I will work evenings and weekends, by arrangement. I have a network of trusted partners to help me complete tasks that are outside of my expertise area, such as translation, graphic design, printing and even chauffeur hire.
Working with me as your VA will make your life less stressful and is more cost effective than hiring a temp or a full time person.

Working With Bond Executive Support – Some FAQs
How do I get started using your services?
Following our initial conversation to discuss your needs I will send you a detailed questionnaire to complete and return to me via email or fax, or if you prefer we can arrange a meeting. The information gathered will enable me to get a clear and precise picture of your needs and how your business operates. The information you provide will enable me to work with you in a way that will benefit you and your business in the most effective way.
Do I have to sign a Contract?
Yes. I ask all clients to sign a Contract. This protects us both.
Retainers, is there a minimum sign up time?
If you no longer need my services for some reason, I require 30 days written notice (email is fine) to end our partnership. This is after the first month of course.
How do I get my work to you? Will you collect and deliver?
You can send me the work you need completing in the most convenient way for your business, i.e. email, fax, post, etc. The work is then completed to meet your set criteria and timescale and returned to you in via your preferred method. Where the opportunity exists, I prefer to send the work to you for approval prior to final signoff.
Will you collect and deliver work?
Yes. I will collect and deliver work within a 10 mile radius. Distances over 10 miles will be charged at 40p per mile or the cost of public transport if used. Travel time will be charged at the your normal hourly rate.
Can we meet to discuss my initial requirements and then on a regular basis?
If you wish meet to discuss your requirements and the information you provide on the questionnaire, this is not a problem and can be arranged as long as you are based within a reasonable travelling distance.
There are occasions when meeting face to face is most beneficial, i.e. organising large conferences/events, when there is a need for lengthy discussions to establish a clear understanding of your requirements and to develop our working relationship.
I am also happy to meet with clients regularly to take on more projects and plan the workload going forward.
Will you attend meetings and take minutes for me?
I am happy to attend meetings with you and your clients if you need me to from time to time. I will attend meetings and record action items but do not take traditional minutes, as I do not have shorthand skills suitable for long meetings. I use speed writing for taking transcription or letters and short documents. If you need shorthand please let me know as I have VA partners who can help.
Can you meet my deadlines?
Yes, in 99.9% of cases. Deadlines will always be discussed and if I believe I cannot meet your deadline for some reason, I will not take on the work. However, I usually have no issue meeting deadlines.
Will you work at weekends?
Like most people I like to spend weekends enjoying my family and friends. However as a business woman I also understand the demands and pressures facing small businesses. If you need me to work weekends please give me as much notice as possible and I will do my utmost to meet your needs. Please note that weekend work will be charged at £40.00 per hour plus expenses.
Do I need to provide you with anything?
Information and prompt responses to queries will ensure your work is completed according to schedule and will avoid unnecessary delays.
My office has everything I need to operate, however if you wish to use your own letterhead and stationery you will need to supply this.
Are there any other charges outside of the hourly rate?
All courier charges, postage, special stationary, travel costs, mileage and some telephone calls are charged at cost. Invoices will be sent out once the job is complete with a breakdown of expenditure. A detailed timesheet will also be provided so you can see how your hours were utilised.
Do you keep a copy of all the work I ask you to do?
Only if you ask me to. For one of projects, documentation is only retained for as long as necessary. Once the work is complete, we store nothing. Work for retainer clients will be kept for as long as the client retains my services. If the contract is ended, the work will be put on CD and returned to the client via secure mail.
